Good job, SueAnne! If you really want to kill the sugar cravings, you have to completely go off of them. Even a little feeds the addiction and it holds you captive. You might experience headaches and other withdrawl symptoms, but it is so worth it! There are lots of ways I enjoy sweetness without sugar. 1) Smuckers 100% fruit jelly. This is great in oatmeal, on a rice cake with sugarless peanut butter or in plain yogurt. 2) Fruit. When you cut out refined sugar, fruit becomes so sweet. It is like a smoker who quits and discovers the true flavors of food. 3) Real Maple Syrup 4) Raw honey 5) Products with splenda

Jules,
Addiction! Who said anything about addiction! I didnt' say I had a sugar addiction! I have no addiction. Could quit any time. yep!

Ya-right! The doctors have told me you can't be addicted to sugar. Obviously they don't know what it is like to have an addiction. I can't tell you how much I have appreciated your comments in my posts. I have read everyone and taken it to heart. It would be so easy to give up. You not even knowing me and taking the time to encourage and mentor me(not that you are older, just wiser:) means a whole lot. Thank you for the tips!

I am the self appointed cheerleader of the site. I am glad you can glean things from my comments, that is so great! I really do care about you and we will meet soon. Have you heard about the Spring Hurrah we will be having on May 20th? We are going to meet at Northgate mall for lunch and shopping.

And about sugar addiction...I know it is addicting. I got to a point where I would begin to PANIC if it wasn't in the house. If that isn't addiction, I don't know what is.
