So, I hate sit ups, but I learned that I can do some isloations that do excercise my tummy.
Here's how: You lie on your back and rather than hauling yourself up with your head/elbows, you instead push your small of your back into the floor and hold for awhile. As long as you can. You exhale, then do it again, and again.
Its easier than sit ups, works your belly and helps posture by flatteing our that rounded lower back. :-)
