Successful eating at the Maltby Cafe
Yahoo! After eating out three times this week, including a breakfast at the Maltby Cafe, I weighed in 1lb thinner. Exchanging eggbeaters for the eggs and cottage cheese for those fried potatoes, really helped.
I am also trying something new at the gym. On my weight lifting days, I'm trying to get to the gym 1/2 hour early to work out on the eliptical. I need to shake things up and maybe adding the additional aerobic activity on the weight lifting day might just do it. I'll let y'all know what happens.

Wow, you ate out three times this week and STILL lost weight. That is amazing. : )
Hey, could you tell me exactly how many pounds that it is now that you've lost, and exactly how much all together that you want to lose. I want to be accurate with your ticker. : ) Keep up the great work Debbie... we're all very proud of you!

Yes, Debbie! Way to go! I know how challenging it can be having to eat out....My mother just had her 60th bday party at Palasades and it was a tricky one. But I too, emerged victorious and I feel good about it.
The cardio is always good before a weight session, I find. And did you know, that you are not supposed to stretch before you work out? Only after your muscles are warmed up? I just learned this!

Hey Debbie - small sets of repeated lifting can really help build lean muscles. Try to lift a good amount over and over rather than a BIG amount over only a few times - this is the weightlifters secret to avoiding bulk :-)
Stretching AFTER is a great way to keep those tired muscles lean too. I am harping on the lean muscle part because as you get stronger, you want to look refined, not BIGGER?
I struggle with this myself as the horseback riding is working thigh muscles and I am always trying to slim out that area :-)

Thank you for doing my ticker for me. I started at 260.6 and have lost 77.2 so far. I weighed in at 183.4 Wednesday. I want to land somewhere around 160-165. I'll find out exactly the goal weight for you next week by checking the weight watcher recommended weight range table.
