Bad weekend, but good report

I have not been as faithful to my dieting and exercising as I should be. I have been out of town every weekend for the past 3 weekends and am going to be out of town again this weekend. The good news is the scale did say that I am down another .8 #s.

The diffrence in my attitude now vs. then is that I am not giving up. If it takes me 1, 2 or even 3 years that is ok. I am losing and that is what is making me happy. My clothes feel better on me and I feel better about me.

My goal this week is 2 pounds.....

Tracy,
Doesn't it feel good to take what ever victory you can no matter how small? Your attitude is wonderful! Keep it up. As you said to me last week, "slow and steady wins the race." I know how difficult it is to stay encouraged when the weight loss seems to be happening at a slow rate. I am learning that the numbers on the scale isn't my only measurement of victory. More so, how my clothes fit and how I feel when I exercise. Also, knowing that I am changing on the inside and food is losing it's death grip on me. Keep up the good work! Your attitude is such an encouragement to me to keep my eye on the prize as I run my race. Thank you!
Smiles,
Kimiko

Tracy, so good to hear from you! ARe you having trouble on the weekend because Darin is home? Do you need some weekend strategies? Are you meeting with a support group each week or are we it?

So happy that your scale is moving the right way. Don't "cheat" yourself, losing focus on your goal. You are worth more than that. You will have to fight for your own health, no one else will. You have to become a champion for your own cause and see that it is well worth the fight. YOU are well worth the fight.

Tracy,
I so agree with Kimi and Jules.

And your attitude is sooo good! You just keep pressing forward, and the scale WILL obey.

Its so funny Tracy, when we set our mind to something, the brain, who loves puzzles, starts making it happen. Your brain is focusing on health when you're asleep, in your subconscious.

So, just remember as long as your attitude is right, your brain will move heaven and earth to make your goal happen. Its the same as when a person in physical therapy begins to walk again - those first steps are often not based on physical strength, but MENTAL DETERMINATION!

So, fix your mind on the prize baby! You'll get there!
