Book Recommendation Retracted

Remember I mentioned I was reading Constant Craving - What Your Food Cravings Mean And How To Overcome Them by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D.? Well, I just googled the author wondering if she had a website and she's pretty out there, spiritually speaking, so I no longer feel comfortable recommending her book, even though I have gained valuable insights from it. It was written in 1995 and since then she's moved away from counseling people about their overeating and what it might be hiding to something called "angel therapy".

Maybe I'm closed minded, (I'm rarely accused of that) but warning bells went off when I visited her website. So. Sigh. I'll keep analyzing my feelings when they cause me to run to food, but I think I'll do it without Ms. Virtue's help.

Are you sure? And, what if I become a Certified Spiritual Counselor(CSC) and Angel Therapy Practitioner (ATP) who has completed the spiritual counseling program previously offered by the American Board of Hypnotherapy and facilitated by Doreen Virtue?

Tee hee!

I'm only joshin - I'm glad you were able to get some insight from her writings. What is frustrating sometimes is the truth gets mixed in with lies, and then no one knows where to stand.

Good on you for researching. I'm glad you brought this to light.

Thanks for the update. It is important to strain out the truth from all we hear, even from "Christian" sources. I like to see what I can get from those who are off base...it is like a test of my "true north" and I also feel that God sometimes speaks out of the mouth of an ass.
