I have a friend who is considering the lap band.
Does anyone here know anyone, or have personal experience with this type of procedure? What should she know? I'm trying to help her decide...

I have also considered this procedure latley. My husband does not want me to do this, so.... it probably won't happen. I have an Aunt that had it done and she loves it. Her daugther is now looking in to getting it done. I have heard that it has made her very sick at times. Let me know if you hear anything.
Thank you Tracy, I appreciate your input. I know my friend feels it may be what she needs to get her over that first difficult hump of loss. I know know if she qualifies for it to be covered by insurance, but that was definitely a point TOWARDS the procedure.
E, Tina's mom had this done and is so thankful for it. She has had very possitive results with it. I could give you Tina's number if you would like more personal info. J
A client of mine who is a physician makes a lot of money off evaluating people whose bands have slipped... just a warning. But I don't know anyone who has had it done so no other advice.
