What's Your Breakfast?

So, I'm interested in hearing what busy women like you eat for breakfast.

This is a typical breakfast attempt.

1) Odawalla Superfood
2) French Press Drip (ziiiiing!)
3) one egg
4) australian toaster muffin w/ butter

Replacement suggestions are welcome
I'd LOVE to see what others eat!

(btw - i have an awesome toaster that toasts the toast and cooks the egg at the same time - 40$ Target)

  1. I almost always have 1 cup of cheerios with 1/2 cup 1% milk, and sugar sub. Plus 2 cups of coffee with sugar free hazelnut creamer. But then, like 2-2 1/2 hours later I'll have a snack, usually protein, like a hard boiled egg, or some thinly cut turkey slices...

  2. I love oatmeal in the winter so I have 1/2 cups of quick oats with 1T of Smart Balance and Splenda. I have a cup of 1% milk for protein and to fill me up.

In the summer, my breakfast is like Kristina's. I drink tea instead of coffee with 1% ,milk.

FOr a change, an egg + a white scrambled in Pam and milk.

  3. I have a bowl of steel cut oats cooked with a handful of dried cranberries. I usually add a spoonful of brown sugar and a splash of milk. Sometimes I make the oats in a crock pot over night and sometimes on the stove top in the morning. I also have 2 cups of coffee with soy creamer and sugar.

  4. Ooooh - I've never heard of using a crock pot for oatmeal. How do you do it?

  5. You have to use the steel cut oats (quick oats or rolled oats would just disintegrate I think. lol), and you need to spray the crock pot with PAM or something first. You put 4 parts water to 1 part oatmeal. and cook on low overnight. I also add some dried cranberries. I've seen recipes with apples and cinnamon too. My kids love it, and when I use the crock pot we all have a fresh hot breakfast waiting for us when we get up.

  6. E, I love 100% whole wheat english muffins. I put peanut butter on them with honey or bananas or simply fruit jelly. I will also poach a couple of eggs or fry them up and put them on the english muffin.

I have also discovered a new cereal that is really filling and yummy. Fiber One Honey Clusters. It has 14 grams of fiber.

    Bon Appetit

Thank you for posting this. I've been struggling with breakfast and what to have. I'm a creature of habit sometimes and my satisfaction in breakfast has suffered. Everyone has posted yummy and easy things. I don't know why I make things hard for myself sometimes :0)

  8. I have a yogurt right when I get to the office in the morning and a cup of Bigelow's "Constant Comment" green tea (since I gave up coffee in December). About an hour and a half or two hours later, I will have another yogurt (midmorning) to get me through to lunch and get me the protein and calcium I need.

I usually like a piece of fruit in the morning but for some reason here lately I haven't really felt like it.

  9. Hi, I usually eat 1 cup of oats with 1 cup of fat free milk and 1 tbsp of simply fruit. Also I'll have a cup of tea or coffee. What ever I feel like at the time.
